I also cannot see Cory's photos on Firefox 123.  Not even a placeholder.

When I list the source code, the Google URL is multiple lines long, a random alphanumeric string, and looks nothing like an image url.

I tried it on my really ancient MyPal browser, and got the same result - not even an error image.  No evidence that there even SHOULD be an image there.

Haha. You've seen the article I wrote on the subject, right?

The spec said black, but it was usually applied quickly so blue bled through regularly.

Honestly, you might just be able to do it all with some thinned paint as a wash.
Yah, I saw your article in CRQ, I was just trolling a bit.  The wash sounds a lot easier, too.

Jesus, Cory. Act like you've posted on a forum before.   :ashat:

Can you see me now?

He just changed something. I wasn't seeing the pix a few minutes ago and was trying to isolate it to a browser/OS issue and suddenly they started appearing everywhere. Oh, well. :|

Same here - they started showing up now for me too.
It's some Google-related weirdness. I remember people using google to host photos (like Bob Gilmore and few others here) had this issue few years back.  I don't remember  what the fix was (or if it was ever explained), but Cory must know what he had to change for the photos to show up. Unless of course they *JUST* started working properly/

Desert weathering time. Whitened with rust. Accu-Flex "rust" and Tamyiya "white". Might need to bring in the old Foquil recipe I used to use, Rust, Grimy Black, and Concrete or Dust.

I forgot to post this last week. I 3D-printed an engine frame for an eventual EF4 Virginian electric, and decided to see if it actually would run. It is as light as a feather so it won’t pull a load, but it can pull itself. A great way to test before sending the digital model off for casting or machining.

Thats awesome for prototyping and R&D. Once you have something that will work, put the CNC machine to work for a metal frame.

counterpoint
Its much funnier if I say on my railroad we never quite pulled out of the Oil Crisis and this was pre aquisition of a Fleet of ACE-3000s.

I'll allow it, but only if you team it up with a patched out Big Boy.
