I think I have PM's fixed now but will be away for a few days. Back after the weekend.

I just noticed a scribble on my S2 box lining that appears to read Ver1. While we're waiting for Pete to finish his analysis, can anyone tell me what the difference between the two (?) versions are? Is it the electronics or something different?
And Jim, a big thank you for your info on the KA-N1, that's great news (to me).
Thank you,
Otto K.

The only difference I remember between the first and second run was the wheels. The first run had some kind of residual coating that kept them from making contact. This was my first ever sound unit purchase and the most expensive engine to date. It barely ran right out of the box. The second run was flawless however.
Fortunately, multiple cleanings resulted in an excellent runner.
I would recommend that you’re sure and you’re sure that you’re sure the wheels are clean. That’s the only issue I know of on this excellent model.
One thing that puzzled me at the start of this thread is my S2s run so well they weren’t even on the radar to add  a keep alive although I’m going to now simply because it’s apart.

Thank you Russ - PM sent.  No problem with doing the test after the weekend.
