I was going through some boxes of train stuff I haven't unpacked since my last move, and I found I had 14 ALM Core kits.

Just sayin... :trollface:

I don't suppose you'd be willing to sell a few?

@bigdawgks -
If Mr. Gilmore doesn't want to part with any, it might be worthwhile to contact San Juan.  Prior to Bryan starting this thread, somebody here on Railwire was reporting that the folks at San Juan had located a "case" of ALM kits.  Now, I have no personal knowledge of exactly what San Juan might have, or whether a "case" is 12 or 144 or 1028 or..., but if that info was correct, they might have some- or at least some of the roof-floor-end sprues that San Juan was selling 6 or 7 years ago (I bought 10 or 15, so I know they were selling them).  Plus you could get an update on availability and whether or not the core kits are really going to be available again in the future.

Just my 2 cents.

I don't suppose you'd be willing to sell a few?

I also have 12 Des Plaines Hobbies & American Model Builders UP and SP car kits, and a couple of Brass Car Sides kits, so I'd be wise to keep 'em.

I feel for ya!  ;)

The market really needs the core kits to reincarnate.

I only wish I had stocked up more on Rail Craft Code55 & Code40 flex, but, I think my new 3D printer is going to take care of the track problem!   :D

I'd be willing to take a crack at printed N scale core kits -- here's a P-S roof I recently printed in HO.  (the warp actually went away within a day and it's perfectly straight now).

I have dimensions for ACF, P-S and Budd cars so theoretically they shouldn't be too bad -- are Kato trucks acceptable to design for these days?

Kato trucks aren't always available, but, in my opinion, they'd be quite acceptable.

Bumping this up, since I just saw N Scale Supply announce that they have the new core kits in stock!
