I know this thread is old, but I'm trying again since I'm almost ready to paint this loco.

Does anyone have a photo of this loco besides the ones in this thread.    It is amazing how rare photos of this loco are.

I'm not sure if this helps, it looks like this decal kit has some of the errors fixed that the brass model had.

Should I even ask about MTHs version of E1 or duck?

I appreciate your responding.  This is a real challenge.
Actually, I have those decals, and they also have an error.  The crook at the nose is going in the wrong direction.  I'll either have to kitbash the decal or make my own.

And no, don't ask about MTH job with this paint scheme.  Filled with errors- which I'm trying to avoid.
As far as models go, the Overland brass model seems better.

If you really want to be accurate, it is hard when there is so little info.   4 photos is something (and better than nothing), but I would love for more.

It's no problem, I'll keep poking around I can definitely understand where you are coming from. Not trying to compare apples to oranges here, but I've been trying to find more info on a PRR S2 Turbine, and there is the same regurgitated info everywhere I look. I think the pictures of it are just about as scarce as your E1.

I figured you probably did have those decals, but I wasnt 100%, the site came up on an image search. I did see E1 in a different paint scheme than what you are after, but I don't think its what you are after.
