Where are you finding code 55 rail?

The bench work is done for my module, and now I’m ready to lay track.

My LHS has neither rail, nor flex. A number of online vendors have it listed out of stock.  Hand Laid Track has it, but in a larger quantity than I wish to pay for right now. Just one bundle will keep me busy for a while.

 I do have a bunch of ME rail that can be salvaged from a section of a prior layout, but it is weathered and painted, thus a chore to clean up.

If you're patient, ME products will be available in the foreseeable future. They are under new ownership as of late 2022 and are working on resuming their entire product line this year.

Looks like Fast Tracks has ME rail in stock.  Here’s 18” lengths, which is less expensive to ship (they have 36” lengths, too).

I may or may not have cleared Yankee Dabbler out of their bare code55 rail.

You always can buy Atlas code 55 flex and strip the rails from them.  That's what I do to keep the handlaid track consistent with the flex track.

"Looks like Fast Tracks has ME rail in stock.  Here’s 18” lengths," thank you Dave. I am hoping to make the yard ladders as groups of turnouts and I'm not sure the shorter lengths will work.

bbussey using Atlas flex may be the way to go. bobdobbs  posted links to several sources.

I do have a pack of ME code 55 that is about 3/4 full that is 36". I am willing to let it go if you are interested. It is not weathered. If interested please PM me.
