MT SW1500 Shell on LL SW 1200

May be old issue, but has anyone put the MT shellon the LL chassis ? If so any issues, or suggestions for smooth running, electrical contact, etc. thanks !!

Well there was a huge hullabaloo when they were first relaased about how this SW1500 used the Life-Like/Walthers mech in the first place.   So I imagine it would work just fine.  But I don't know from experience.

Yes, exact same frame and drive. Should work fine.

That is what Micro-Trains did when they were shipping complete decorated models.. :D

Also note - the Micro Trains SW1500 DCC decoders are really Life Like SW1200 decoders.

BTW - has anyone tried the SW1500 decoder on any of the older Atlas/Kato/LL locomotives that take the CN-GP decoder from TCS?
