A few 'along the tracks' finds when I was shooting the MRL in February:

CBQZ 508871 along Bozeman Pass just outside Livingston along O'Rea Creek Road.

MILW no # in a field in Paradise, MT., by the depot.

Pretty cool to see the trailers still have their old ACI labels all these years later. I also like the ghost lettering.

The CB&Q trailer is a little ways from the ghost of the Q, but the MILW one is less than 25 miles by road from the MILW at Saint Regis. Looks like someone has taken the time to remove some graffiti from the Burlington, and the Milwaukee Road looks as if it was painted out at one time. The CBQ would be around 53 years old now, not looking too bad.

There's an IC deathstar container (or trailer missing everything below the flooring) down by the CN yard here in Cedar Rapids. I probably should shoot it...

Lock4244:  The CB&Q may be a ways from the old Q, but it also ran for several years after the merger, so is still next to home rails!

And it's not as far away as it might seem, as the CB&Q ran into Laurel (Billings area).

Yup, about 120 miles to the east.

I know of what I believe is a B&O trailer in Cecil County, Maryland in the “Trailer Service” scheme.  I haven’t looked for it in a few years, so I’ll have to see if it’s still there.  It’s on private property but visible from the road.

@Ike the BN Freak unless I miss my bet, that’s a pair of the 24’ Matson compatible insulated cans that the Q had. Not exactly common and a neat find.
