The former New South Wales Government Railways roundhouse at Junee celebrates its 75th anniversary during 2022. Construction of the Junee Roundhouse commenced in 1943 and it was officially opened on Friday 29 September 1947, lthough it had already been in service since January 1947.
It is somewhat unique in being shared by the heritage Junee Roundhouse Museum group and the commercial engineering concern Junee Railway Workshops.

With the N&W No. 475 accident at Strasburg yesterday, I was reminded of better times.  Here’s where @Ed Kapuscinski, @Dave V, Dave’s father, one of Dave’s sons, and I rode the caboose back in May 2022.  Six months later, I can’t recall which our noggins are visible in the cupola.
