A quick 2500km round trip drive a fortnight ago from Adelaide across to Goulburn, New South Wales, for the 'down under' Streamliners 22 event. On 2 October 2022, former Victorian Railways S303 takes centre stage on the turntable. Most of the locos in the shot are still operational either in regular service or in preservation.Turning heads by Bingley Hall, on Flickr
to paraphrase Col. Kurtz "..the yellow...........the yellow"is that something mandated for visibility, or as part of a "family" continuity thing?
Wes - great shot .. I find it interesting the amount of commonality Australian railroads have with the US railroads . at least motive power wise .. we are certainly two countries with a lot in common
The porthole placement is off, l wonder if it was accidental or serves some other purpose.
