Change of scenery for 10 days last week chasing sugar cane trains on the largely 2'0" gauge networks in Queensland. There are 18 rail served sugar mills which bring in around 30 million tonnes of cane between June and November each year. On 29 July 2022, Macknade Mill's 'Selkirk’, a Bo-Bo diesel hydraulic built by local manufacturer EM Baldwin (no relation) in 1976, brings a rake of empty bins from the mill, which can be seen in the distance, to the junction with the Lucinda line on Four Mile Road, near Ingham.

There is only one as far as I know and that is the Bundaberg Distillery whose main product is the widely distributed (in Australia) Bundaberg Rum. The molasses for the rum production comes from the adjacent Millaquin sugar mill that has its own 2'0'" gauge cane railway.

Their product page has some yummy offerings.
