Intermittent warping

Hi All,

I've been having some issues with warping. I'm using the original Photon, and Anycubic Gray resin. Some projects warp and some don't. The two passenger cars below were printed with the same settings. The lower one was first, the upper one was second. The only difference between the two is that I added the bulkheads in the second specifically to help warping. Any pointers?

How long did you cure each model?

8-10 minutes. Whenever this happens, it's long after the printing process. A model will look fine for a few days, long enough that I'll start a project, then I'll take it out the next day and its warped beyond use.

I've had this happen .. 

Take a look at this doc .. it offers some suggestions ..  Also, check your settings on the sliced files .. it might be good idea to calibrate the printer against the calibration files ..

is it my imagination, or are the walls thicker on the lower one ??

Actually the walls are a tad thicker on the top shell (the warped one) other than that, same print orientation and settings.

I ran a print this morning after I changed my FEP and added 1 second to the exposure time. This one looks promising. I cured the daylights out of it and so far so good.

You can also cure under water. I cured Chris’s tiny switchers under uv light in water (and most all my other prints for that matter). I’ve done that for a few years. In fact some resins get harder if cured in hot water under UV light. Cures harder than cold water cure.
