Yesterday my girl and I rode the 425 from Reading, PA to Jim Thorpe, PA.   Spent the extra doe for the Dome car which the view was terrific. However the lowest part of the windows are too high and the seats are too low. It was hard to see out level without standing or sitting on a leg. I'm 5'9" so it's not like I'm a shrimp. Seats were very comfortable and the crew did a wonderful job.

We had about 3.5hrs in Jim Thorpe to walk the streets and shops which my girl likes. There is a few restaurants there but the lines were crazy long except for one. We went there. There is plenty of roach coaches down by the train station. Roach Coach, by now some of you can tell I was navy.

In all it was a good day. Got to give 425 a good going over but more important I got to take measurements of the aux water tender that most likely came from an old RDG camelback or something in small form from over 100 years ago. I'll be making a few of them for my RDG M1's.
