I recently bought a very large quantity of both the 33" and 36" ESM wheels and I am quite happy with them. Zero bad wheel sets in the entire bunch. In fact, I like them better than the Fox Valley wheels, where I had numerous issues of the metal rim not being well mated to the plastic insulator and the rim being misaligned or actually falling off.

I encountered the same issue with FVM wheels, where just lightly touching the wheel would cause it to fall off the plastic insulator. Not a lot, maybe 1 out of 10 would have an issue.

1 in 10 is not a lot?!  That is 10% defect rate!  That would be unacceptable to me.

Well when compared to $19.99 for four wheels from NWSL. 10% fail rate from FVM is still money ahead.

Nice double track stone arch bridge. Who is the manufacturer?  I was looking for a double track stone arch for my main line.
@paggs sorry I missed your question.
The bridge is cobbled together from the Atlas single track arch viaduct kit.
I slice it down the middle and use sheet styrene to build a new deck and arch barrels.  Pretty simple conversion, really.

RR is that Anita? Sure has changed. Thanks for the pic.

I recall it's Anita. I tried to upload another image which was a little lighter, but it won't upload. There aren't too many places to access the middle of the line. I took this from the cattle pen side of the tracks back in September 1989. There was still a pole standing which can be seen just above the tender. I recall that GCRY had just begun offering rides a week before I was there and I had covered it in the Shortlines column in Pacific Rail News.

That type of problem is usually caused by the image file being too large (resolution too high).  I resize the images I upload here to 1024 pixels wide - not problems after that.
