Looking for KATO light kits 12v bulbs (original sets)

Back when I was running my KATO original (first version) lightbulb inserts in cars on a digitrax DCC system the lights got so hot they melted the car roofs (and the light fixture itself). So I yanked them. Now the NCE system I'm using doesn't get the bulbs that hot. Since I like the incandescent light of the incandescent bulbs I'm looking to replace the burned out or damaged ones to use again. KATO long since stopped making the bulbs so I'm wondering how to find a substitute, if possible. Just type in "12 volt model railroad KATO light bulbs" on Google?

Yeah, I have the newest KATO lighting kits with the soft illumination but still like the bulb light.

I pulled mine out and replaced them with Rapido easy-peasy boards, I think I still have all of them.   I think.

This dealer might still have the original version of the lighting kits available.
Maybe they have the bulbs, too.

Some eBay sellers have the original lighting kits listed, as well.

Have you tried the Kato 11-214 set. Those are the new LEDs that are warmer than the 11-212 sets that are harsh white. Or is that what you meant by the "newest"?

I probably have a dozen or more, too lazy to head down to the basement to count them. You can have them all for the cost of postage...Bob

I'm just looking for the bulbs themselves, not the entire assembly .... I'm using bulbs, and the two different LED versions of the kit, plus the yellow "filters" to vary the lighting in the cars -- give 4 types of light. About 6 bulbs would do the trick.

Yeah, OldEast, I know what you need (I think:) just the bulbs, no reflectors or contact strips. PM me your mailing address and I’ll send them out. The USPS/FedEx/UPS have occasionally been slow, but what the heck, eh?
