Been busy installing more signals on the D&H. A total of 20 this weekend. There are 16 in total in Whitehall alone. This comprises of 8 single mast with 3 search lights on each mast plus 8 dwarfs.

I also built (and modified to suit the location) and installed 2 Stewart products, thew dual sanding tower and the fuel point into the loco facility.

Really happy with the way they came out.

Wow!  This is really coming together.  Great work on the signals, and I really like the large building in the second photo, the one with stone on the first story wtih brick on the others.  What did you use for this, just out of curiosity?

The buildings in the second pic are prints mounted on MDF blocks.
I picked them up from a friend that had them on his layout. I think they are from http://www.kingmill.com/. They no longer make them.

Today I spent some time adding an Atlas 2 track girder bridge to the main line and loop tracks in Cooperville.
I ave also shortened the front fascia and cut more of the foam out to give a better contour along the front of the upper deck.

The next step is to add a few other bridges to a few more spots around the upper deck.

Over the last 2 weeks I have been working on the town of Fairhaven and the glass factory.
Here are the progress pictures. The buildings are built and ready for painting.

Also grated a unloading facility for the power plant in Plattsburgh

I thought I would dip my toe into the Raspberry Pi pool to see if it could replace the old Laptop to run JMRI for the layout.
I use JMRI to run the signals on the layout and a auto reverse routine for my North and South staging so a JMRI machine while not necessary to just run a train is handy.
I used the image from JMRI and it worked a treat. A few minor changes to suit my needs and connect to my home network. But all in all really happy with the result.
I set it up to auto start the panel when the layout is turned on and the Pi is turned on with the same master switch.
I dont have a screen connected, but have a old iPad that connects to the JMRI web server so I can hit a few panel switches to enable my auto reverse functions.
Here is a screen grab of the Pi screen showing JMRI with the panel file open and the Pi panel as well as the master panel.

Was nice and simple to set up and really happy with the result.
