More houses - ATlas and Walthers are doing good with this but we can always use more variety.
Modern office building - glass and steel. Something that can be built into a skyscraper or kept as a few stories.

Another N&W steam video popped Up in my recommend YouTubes and got me thinking. You only need 3 types of steam locomotives to model the mid 50s on the N&W. Since Bachmann already make the J and they hit the EM-1 out of the park, why don’t they put everything they learned in the 2-8-8-4 in an N&W A and an updated Y6b? I love the WM, but I’d cash out in a heartbeat if I could double head a Y6b and an A that looks and runs as good as the EM-1.

Just a thought.

My money is on Broadway Limited - they did the A and Y6b in HO. Some day ...

I've been working around these engines my entire life and the only way I can tell the difference is by looking on the FRA card or in places you cannot see.

If the only external difference is an extra set of carbody vents, Archer models makes decals to add these. I've seen dozens of fan variations and different rooftop changes but unless you have a very specific engine it would be alot of work regardless.

Randy Stahl

F9 has the front porthole in a different location in addition to different louvers than a Phase I F7, new side panels would be the best (partial) fix.   F9 would also need a few more modifications, e.g. 48" dynamic brake fan, FARR radiator grills (Plano makes them), etc.

If Atlas made a late U33C/U36C in N like they did in HO, U23C and late U33B/U36B would be pretty straightforward conversions.

Steam wishlist:
-Boston & Maine T-1 Berkshire. Some T-1s were sold second-hand to SP and ATSF if a company needs West Coast railroads to make their business case. The B&A A-1 and IC A-1 classes had identical/nearly identical chassis and running gear, and some B&A A-1s were sold second-hand, if they need even more variants to make a business case. Here are the early Berkshires in S scale brass: https://riverraisinmodels.com/earlyBerkshires.html
-NYC Niagara
-NYC Mohawk
-London, Brighton, & South Coast H1/H2 Atlantic. This is a British loco that Bachmann Europe makes in OO gauge, and it instantly became my favorite British steam engine! I hope it gets released in N gauge through their Graham Farish division. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mrft-gdAraI

Diesel wishlist:
-Alco C424 and C425. Atlas has the old Life-Like C424 phase I tooling. If they add more phases, DCC support, underframe detailing, and their C628/630 cabs in place of the L-L cabs, they will have a winner on their hands.
-MLW RS-10/RS-18. Hard to find these used and they go for premium prices.
-F-M Erie-Built. The fabricated trucks and early stepped cabs would be nice additions, but even a DCC-ready rerelease of the L-L versions would be welcome.
-F-M C-Liner, both 4- and 5-axle variants. Atlas has the Life-Like 4-axle tooling. If they do release these, it'd be nice if they could get the nose contours to be more accurate. The L-L noses are a bit pointy when compared to the prototype.
-An accurate, up-to-date F-M H10-44 and H12-44.
-F-M H20-44.
-Any Baldwin road switcher. RS-12, DRS-4-4-1500, the list goes on...

Electric wishlist:
-E-33 or E-44. The Bricks would be cool to see in N scale.

Rolling stock wishlist:
-Tank cars with spiral-wound jackets, like this kaolin car: https://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s116/inflammable_millenium/RealWorld/ENGX_15251_120907.jpg They look cool. :)
-A US-specific Schnabel car
-The NYC Pacemaker caboose. https://ogrforum.ogaugerr.com/fileSendAction/fcType/0/fcOid/27897396943445352/filePointer/27897397023836521/fodoid/27897397023836516/imageType/MEDIUM/inlineImage/true/Pacemaker-Caboose.jpg
-An RTR or laser-cut kit of the PRR N6B caboose. Quality Craft/Gloor Craft released a craftsman kit of these cabin cars many moons ago.
-A rerelease of the B&M wooden caboose. http://spookshow.net/freight/shirecaboose.html
-A rerelase of the Deluxe Innovations woodchip hopper. This is another item that hasn't been offered in a while and goes for premium prices. http://spookshow.net/freight/dichip.html

Alco C424: A newly tooled one, most likely, not sure what happened to the LL Canada ones from the 90s.

D&H Red bay windows (Bluford)

Well, my post from December 2019 actually has some things in it that could (or will, in the case of the caboose) happen. Here's hoping the C424 will get a new DCC-Sound equipped/ready mechanism sooner than later! These are a huge hole in my fleets, EL, D&H, CR, and Delaware-Lackawanna all had/have large fleets of C424/25 and I can't wait to see the Atlas versions.

Atlas C424 in BRC, baby!  It's like they read my post on this thread and took immediate action to satisfy me!  I'll take all six road numbers, I promise!  (Okay, if you must break those into first and second runs, I'll still be okay.....)
