This was the point were the PRR's electrics handed off passenger trains and some limited freight (most freight was exchanged at Enola) to steam and eventually to diesels. Plus the the freight transfers between Enola and the Reading's Rutherford Yard went through as well. Harrisburg was definitely was place of activity back in the day.
