It's cool to see these models offered, though the prices are staggering but ...

I'm trying to be nice, but this isn't even close to brass quality (I owned a Sunshine J for a while), or even any injection molded models (The 21st century Bachmann J is superior to any brass model I've seen).

Epic 3D printing fail for this modeler.

I would try to get a Great Northern loco with a Belpair fire box.  Only the Pennsylvania and the GN had these fireboxes. And Pennsylvania locomotives look different than the GN so those don’t look like the Pennsy. So I’d try hard to make my budget stretch to afford a GN conversion.

Only the Pennsylvania and the GN had these fireboxes.

N&W had a bunch of Belpaire firebox locos in the late 19th century (4-6-0 Class U, 2-8-0 Class T at a minimum). They moved away from Belpaire fireboxes by the end of the century.

Apparently, Union Pacific had at least one Belpaire firebox loco:

So the M-class mechanism is completely wrong. The Bachmann 2-8-0 has 63" drivers while the M-class all had 56" drivers. Id be interested in buying the boiler but a completed inaccurate model is WAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY overpriced at $750.
They won't sell many if any of these.

To add to Mark's comments, Soo Line and Canadian Pacific also had engines with Belpaire fireboxes.
Go back to the end of the 19th / beginning of the 20th century and they were more common then you think...

Well, their description does say "we heavily modify to make it accurate for the M class"
They don't show any photos, so it's impossible to know what "heavily" means.  But I suppose it's possible they changed out the drivers.
A 7" driver size reduction would be .043" in N Scale, so they would also have to scootch the drivers closer together, which means major changes to the frame, or their own frame, and of course, modified or new siderods.

Even if they did all that, I agree with you that $750 doesn't sound at all like a practical selling point for the model.

On the other hand, $100 for a complete 15k tender kit doesn't sound crazy.

I think $100 for anything site unseen is crazy. Really post a pic already.
