N scale AB6 partial or full shell possible in N Scale?

Greetings all,

Has any one considered printing all or a partial AB6 from Rock Island RR in N scale?  A partial could be attached to the front of a Life like E7B unit.  Yes I know there is a difference between E6 and E7 units.  Just asking and curious about the price.  Id prefer a slightly earlier version than this picture though.  I'm willing to provide pictures and a drawing or 2 for reference.

Picture below for discussion only.

Thank you,

Mark gives some information on how he cobbled together his own AB6 - further down in this long article on Layout#6.

Good stuff.

Good evening,

Mark did some beautiful work but,

1. the AB6 nose is  not flat.  It angles out towards the front door at an an angle.  I currently have Evergreen plastic stock in place.
I was hoping somebody with greater skills than me would print up a correct front end and headlight that would pretty much drop right on.

 2. the upper headlight is too tall.  I've torn the one off the top of my attempted conversion several times.

I have the drawings and maybe even that article Mark mentions.  I put them somewhere safe.  So safe unfortunately that I can't find them.
I'll try again tomorrow.

Bobster out.

I would consider this if you have the drawing and accurate dimensions and/ or sample mating parts.  Problem is time.  My plate's pretty full right now but if you have some time... PM if you want to pursue this.

Good morning all,

I have the Remember the Rock issue Mark (Spookshow) mentions.  I have pictures and other drawings I will gather up for a future PM.  I will also get pictures of how far my first attempt has progressed.  Those pictures I hope to post this evening.  I still have 2 more shells in case I mess up.  Narrowminded - as MIck Jagger says, "Time is on my side."  I've been piddling with this for several years  I can wait  a while.

More later,

The front sections and the side doors are laser cut steel.  No questions will be answered how I got these past the drawing stage to protect the guilty   I have a couple doors from an F7 I may try first.
