ScaleTrains ET44 couplers

Has anyone swapped out the factory supplied couplers on the ScaleTrains ET44s?  I am trying to use MT couplers for all of my locomotives and rolling stock rather than my current mix of likely 4 to 5 coupler types.  Thanks!

how well do those work, vis-a-vis coupling/uncoupling, slinky, durability, and such?

They are not bad when coupled like-to-like - I have a small string of their covered hoppers, and I think there is less slinky action and they rarely come undone.  But, I sometimes find it tricky to get them to couple to MT or other couplers, which is why I am thinking of changing.

My first run of my C39-8 had zero coupler issues coupled to MTs (1015s) on other locos.  I'll be changing them for appearances sake, at some point, but functionally they seem to be fine.
