Appropriate trucks for Red Caboose mechanical reefer

I recently acquired some Red Caboose reefers off eBay at a great price, however they don’t have trucks or couplers. Any recommendations for appropriate replacements?

When they were released originally, I believe they were equipped with MTL Barber trucks with medium extended couplers.

Do you think that is the best available option still available? I know a lot of other trucks have come out since these were made.

I always try to body-mount couplers so, first I would find out what the prototype ran on and then get those or the closest equivalent.
