Thanks, but I don't think that's right for the VO-1000. I finally got back from the KC convention, and my diagrams show the VO-1000 at 25'-6", and the Atlas model is spot on in that regard. The FM is 27', so the VO is close, but not quite. I'll have to look into it when I find time. On the one hand, the VO mech is easily available and for a reasonable price, and it's arguably the best running N scale switcher, but on the other, I hate putting a lot of effort into something that's won't look right....or is 18" "fudgible" in this case... :?

I did send an inquiry to the people that make the shell, perhaps they can help.
Sorry about the thread driftt. And now back to regularly scheduled programming of big hairy men rocking on kid horses and such :D

That's me, 5th head from the left standing in the back. Got burnt out on the Internet so I really don't post or lurk here or anywhere else much anymore.
Wasn't even gonna go when they announced the picture but my son shamed me into going. He and I made a weekend out of it staying at The Gallitzen Tunnel Inn Saturday and Sunday.
