A pair of stripes CN units spotted a week ago  :D

Wow! That's a gorgeous shot!

I'm currently in the Maritimes and I'm struck by how many GP40-2Ws there are around here. We NEVER see them in the Toronto area.

Both the GP40-2W and the Dash 8 date from an era when freight locomotive designers actually cared what a locomotive looked like. Now they are all designed by committee.

I'll run for cover now....  :D

Jason,

In the N scale Turbo, are the interior lights activated by a function key or are they always ON?

They are always on. To activate them by a function would require two more wires between every car.

They aren't that bright. We toned them down from the radioactive sample.

Or an M-420 which was another handsome and uniquely Canadian locomotive until recently.

With transfers of ex-BCR and CN units to various shortlines in Canada and the United States, there are now numerous road names to entice a manufacturer . . .  :D

I am pleased to see Rapido Trains issue a new locomotive in N Scale, and hope that there are more to come.  The SW1200RS and Royal Hudson are obvious candidates.

I commented on their FB video with latest announcements suggesting they release a FP9 in N scale since IMRC has cancelled their run.  Still looking for Algoma Central unit for my Gettysburg & Northern shortline.  IMRC was even going to run the exact number I needed to patch, 1755  :RUEffinKiddingMe:
