Has anyone body mounted couplers to the Life Like NE caboose? If so easy project?

Standard 1015 will work perfectly. Just drill and tap the mounting hole. File the bolster down a bit to give it prototypical ride height. I like to use Atlas caboose trucks because they are centered on the bolster. Truck optons include:

MTL RB caboose trucks with offset bolster hole.
MTL RB caboose trucks with generator.
Atlas RB caboose trucks.
Atlas Bettendorf caboose trucks.
Bachmann Andrews caboose trucks.
Athearn RB caboose trucks
Athearn Caboose trucks with generator.
There's a shyness found in reason
Apprehensive influence swallow away
You seem to feel abysmal take it
Then you're careful grace for sure
Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away

If using the Bachmann trucks, they have (or at least used to have) 36" wheelsets that can be swapped with Atlas (or compatible) 33" wheelsets.

Jason, what did you use for the frame on the round windows? That's pretty cool.

Agree 100% - one in CNW paint is tempting...

IIRC, it's styrene tube I chucked in the Dremel and used an x-acto blade to shave to to size.  Part of the windows goes into the caboose wall and is stepped down slightly smaller.

This was at least 10 years ago.  Today I would just print them.

Jason,

Love to see those old Rock Island NE's.  They only had 5 or 6 if I recall.

Thanks for posting it,
