The water based contact cement I have does work nearly as well as the smelly stuff. If it was me I'd use thin ACC and sand the back of the plastic sheets if it's that vac-u-formed stuff.

If it is organic-based contact cement (the smelly stuff) - don't use it. It might take months or even years, but the styrene sheet will warp and curl. I've seen that happen several times when Pliobond (brand of contact cement) was used.  If the cement is water-based then it will likely work ok.

Thanks Pete and Chris. I was thinking of using water based contact cement. I'm not sure if thin ACC would work as I am gluing styrene to porous end grain plywood. Something kinda "gooey" seems needed. Maybe Liquid Nails plastic safe construction adhesive?

What about 3M Super 77 Spray?  I've had good luck with it.

I need to take a grade of incomplete on my project. Too many other things to do, but I am making progress and will post an update by the end of the week. I have modified the roof, giving it a "step" at one of the fire breaks to add interest. I have been using a tabletop bandsaw to cut the styrene walls and that has worked out well. I spent time yesterday on the long north wall (opposite the curved one) making window openings only to later determine that I put a window right in the middle of a fire break wall. Sorta like installing a turnout over a benchwork beam. Oh well. I'll just fill that in and it won't be seen once I do the concrete block overlay.
