How do you like your brake details?

With 3D printing edging closer to being a viable resource for quality freight car kits, I'm curious what people want to see as far as what's included or already completed specifically the under body brake detail.  My mindset is to not include the cylinder, reservoir and valve as I try to add these parts with brass pieces to add weight.  There's also the case that these components aren't in the same place for all cars or sometimes not even the same parts if cars were rebuilt.

The alternative would be like what Bryan (bbussey) did with his kit gondola and just make these a part of the under frame.

So what's your preference?

If I see the bottom of my freight cars, something has gone horribly wrong.

I'm all about leaving off nonsense.  If I want to add it, I'd rather it wasn't there to start.  Reference FVM grab irons.  I don't want to carve off poorly molded on ones, so if you can't do separate grabs of a proper diameter, leave them off!

So in this case, for underbody equipment, leave all the piping and levers off unless you're going whole hog.  Major components like valve, reservoir, etc, are fine to add.  But don't make me remove stuff to make it right!

Maybe a simple brake valve and reservoir... maybe... that could be visible when looking at a side view of the car: absolutely no brake lines et.al. -- I agree with Ed on this one; it'a a bad day if we find ourselves looking at the bottom of a bunch of freight cars.

Offer different versions with increasing levels of detail as ScaleTrains does: Operator, Rivet Counter and Museum Quality.

I kinda draw the lines at whatever you could see that hangs below the body in a side view.

I have been adding levers and such, but the ability to print fine holes is nice- no drilling.  So with the holes there, if the user wants to add wire for linkage, they can without breaking something.
