Editing Ability?
« on: November 03, 2017, 03:09:02 PM »
I seem to have lost the ability to edit posts at the moment. Everything seems to show up as a new reply. Is this intentional?

I have turned off edit permissions for the time being.  This type of behavior ruins threads, runs counter to the spirit of RW, and is inconsiderate.

OK, thanks for the info. Guess I need to really proofread everything prior to posting. I never seem to spot an error or omission until after I hit post. Now I'll never beat John C. to a reply! ;)

I hope that "for the time being" is true. I often go back and correct or add to my posts.  Plus I still have some posts where i have to replace Photobucket images with the locally downloaded ones.

Sorry Russ.  It's just such a PITA to restore vandalized posts that I would like to disable the permission to do so temporarily.
