The plan was to actually get staging off the backside of the door to open that up to replicate the woods the prototype runs through between Jefferson and Carson yard.  I may see if I can open up a little more real estate to do the more traditional staging extension off to the side.  Worst case scenario, I’ll stick to the original plan to have Jefferson on one side and staging on the other.

I never realized how big a yard there was at Carson. They even seem to have an upload stop there:

As far as I know, they are still in operation, though the tracks never appear recently used when I run through there. The passenger excursions ended some years ago though and last I knew, both old Alco’s had been sidelined and replaced by an SD7 or 9.
