Nice! That's one of the Milwaukee schemes I want, will pick up a couple for sure. The 16-30 number series were locotrol equipped locomotives. Originally masters with SD45 slaves, later on they were used both head end and mid train.

The CP units are former Soo and KCS units and should have some interesting detail variations...

Although I've never seen a 6-axle AGR locomotive at their southern terminus here in Pensacola, I feel I need to buy one since it's the only AGR locomotive I've ever seen announced....EVER.

I think these SD40-2's are used almost exclusively in Alabama and eastern Mississippi.

Back on the old Atlas Forum my signature was "AGR, King of the restinsled boxcars!"

Think IM will get that far down into the weeds on detail placements or will the units just get a generic CP arrangement?

Wow, Intermountain has sure announced a lot of SD40-2s. If they produce only half of them, they'll be rolling in $$$.

per loco, they stand to
make upwards of $120...

It will be interesting to see what they do... I haven't held a SD40-2 in hand yet (waiting for the first Soo release)
but they have done variations on the ones they have released so far. (I believe the UP units had a couple versions)

5418 (KCS) is a pretty standard mid production unit with late radiator grills.

5421 (also KCS) has a nose headlight and high mounted bell.

5427 (MoPac) is a earlier model with chicken wire grills.

Now here is where things get complicated...

There was never a CP 767, Soo 767 was retired in Red and white so Intermountain messed up on their choice of number.

Now IMRC could go a couple ways...

785, 786, and 787 were painted in dual flags and retrofitted with DB

I am in for those MLW Pacific Extension remotes.... be cool if they included the rooftop ice breaker, I think the 16,19 and 24 had them . The 29 did not as it was a remote trailer (slave).

Excellent.  Maybe they'll do Maryland Midland units in the future.  Great, more money I need to set aside  :D :facepalm: :scared:
