But seriously, you've got to have some screws loose to think that this sort of gamble makes sense. I hope she learned a lesson and is able to recover.

Yep. Yesterday I was waiting for the switch job to clear the crossing circuit (3 mainline tracks) when an idiot from the other direction sped around the gates "on 2 wheels". From his position he could not have known for sure the other tracks (45 mph) were clear.

I tapped my horn, he flipped me off. Darwin Awards fodder.

BTW, gate violation fine in Illinois was just raised to $500.
