CN F units winterization hatch

Does anyone make the Canadian National F unit winterization hatch in N scale-or have some photos of them that I can us to make some/ Jim in minnesota

I have used one from Miniatures by Eric. A quick check of his website shows it still available:

Jim you are going to have to show us a pic of which one you are looking for. CN used a variety of winter hatches on their F Unit (including the one shown above).

As Karl mentioned, CN used a number of different winterization hatches over the years and there was a variety within number series. (Including many F3 & F7's that had no winterization hatches)

Be sure to find pictures of the specific prototype you want to model to confirm the details.

To me, these look like the ones you get when you buy an Intermountain F-unit.

Likely based on the same EMD/GMdd prototype. It was a pretty common style used on F units and early road switchers.

No not in N scale at least. Rapido made the part in HO as a part of their FP9's. 

Those large Winterization Hatches were used on 6501-6509 and 6531 and a few of B units (not sure how many)
They were first added circa 1962.

This was not a rebuilt version for the fans, the last group of GMD FP9s were built with two 48" fans in place of the four 36" fans and were rated at 1800 HP, being, in essance GP18s inside the carbody.  They were built side-by-side with late GMD GP9s which also received the two 48" fans.
