I have an undec GP7 w/DBs I'm trying to decide what to do with. It's up for sale now, but if it doesn't sell, I'd like to paint it in the N&W Pevlar blue scheme (I'm definitely modeling 1966).

I did a Google search, but the photos I found were either of Lionel/etc locos (not sure they're prototypical), or the pictures were not at good angles or so-so in quality that I couldn't tell if the engines were really GP7s or even GP9s.

HELP!

Hmm... Kiz woke me from
a deep sleep for THIS...?

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.
"It works! It works!"

I did find this photo, but I can't tell if the loco is a GP7 or GP9. Any ideas?

EDIT - Oops, I found out it's a GP40...

Hmm... I can't get back
to sleep...

A quick look thru some photos on rrpicturearchives does not show any GP7 with DB.

It looks like N&W's GP7's came from Wabash, NKP and Illinois terminal so they would be non dynamic brake equipped units...

One possibility would be a Precision National Lease unit, they had a huge fleet of Geeps and they made their way all over the place.

Okay, it looks like I'll paint the loco in the Southern Railway green scheme if I wind up keeping it:

Hmm... might as well go
read the dictionary...
