IMO, this is a smart move on the part of H&T Societies. I'm not saying these organizations should give away their main publications, but he best way to generate interest in a prototype is for the modeler to get his hands on it. A little curiosity goes a long way to luring someone in. The NKP and C&NW are the only ones I know of that offer their modeling rags free to the public.
