Can you ID this flatcar, please

This is a white metal casting of a GSC 60' flat. I just found this again in the toy box. This came alone in a plastic bag stapled to a card. No other parts, no nothin'. Now I do have an N Scale of Nevada WP bulkhead flat kit and the design matches (including truck pin holes with inner serrations); the packaging certainly matches. So I strongly suspect it was for an NSN release. The WP flat has smooth deck ends, this has "normal" deck ends like the BLMA model. This was acquired way before that one was released.

Just curious as to the origin. This is probably destined to be done in SSW as that would fit my time period of interest.

Thanks, the second item is very likely the one. The NSN stock#  follows the WP kit, which was MBK01. Tangent also ran these flats in HO, and posted proto photos of the cars they ran/run.

It's definitely not the one from the WP kit, unless the kit was previously released with a different deck design. You really should read the whole of the first post before you post a reply. Just sayin'.

Maybe posting some photos of the item in question would have made things clearer to people who are trying to be helpful to you. This type of reply is not very constructive.

Just a question because I am far from being an expert. Back when Alan Curtis originally made models before N Scale Kits took over the line, were the kits all metal? Before laser cut wood decks? I can't find a picture of the underbelly of one of their 60' cars but is it a possibility?

AC models never did laze cut weird or etched metal parts as far as I can remember. He did while metal and resin.

I have one of Alan's Gunderson articulated well car sets. There is a whole lot of etched metal in that kit.
