Took my better half to the flower show in Philly on Thursday, round-trip from Harrisburg on Amtrak. She took these two shots of the Harrisburg platform through the coach window.

The ride over was fine, only 15 minutes due to "signal issues" outside of 30th Street station. Unfortunately, the trip home was a disaster. The train was Standing Room Only with numerous people standing in the aisles; then the power died at Ardmore station. We were told the whole Amtrak system was down from 30th Street to Paoli, although SEPTA was running on the adjacent tracks? We sat for over 2 hours until the next train out (which was supposed to be only 50 minutes behind us, and with diesel power) pulled up and we crowded onto that already-full train. Didn't get back to H'burg until after 10 PM, a 5.5 hour journey - half of which was spent standing in the aisle or on the Ardmore platform.

Interestingly enough, the vast majority of people were pretty cool about it, there were only a few whiney or visibly P.O'd passengers. Chatting with the regular commuters, several commented that they couldn't wait for the flower show to be over so they could have "their" trains back...
