While I'm flattered that you're thinking of me, I just don't do this kind of thing. Mostly it's because I'm always scared to death of screwing something up. If I destroy one of my own locomotives doing an install, well, no big deal. My loco, my fault, move on to the next project. But if I destroyed someone else's, I'd feel awful - and many of these things are out of production and can't easily be replaced. So I'm not your guy. I'll post what I do for others to see and try themselves; I'm tickled to help people figure stuff out via e-mail, but I just don't work on other folks' locomotives, so I can sleep well at night.
And I know that Top Hobby Trains and Streamlined Backshops have a LOT of N scale experience - Streamlined Backshops, in fact, is where I buy all my decoders and wiring harnesses from, and the owner has done some amazing things in N scale - check out his personal Kato FEF installation here (where he's done stuff I wouldn't even attempt to do):
