Interesting stanchion idea.

I saw these at the Flight Museum in Seattle and don't remember seeing anyone try this at a train show that I've been too.



The cost of the cones may be prohibitive, but setup and storage would be easy.

One kid running while looking backward urging Mom or Dad to follow trips on the chain , falls and gets hurt . If you're going to get sued might as well get some entertainment out of it . IR detectors which follow the tape on the floor that say keep out . When the IR is broken a loud as hell train horn is set off  . Garage door clickers allow passage for the crew .

The best option is to get the layout height up above 50 inches!

Nah cones are cheap, just drive down the freeway and pick up the tall orange ones... Just don't let anyone see you....   :trollface:
