Anyone know what this thing does.. and if so.. how to hook it up..

(Circut board in the upper right corner..)

I have no clue what it is and what it does.. There are pics on Trainboard but they have been crashed for the last 4 days so I can't see the thread from the photo..
-- I tried to link the thumbnail from the google search but that didn't take.

Thanks ~Ian

Isn't Loy's Toys still around to ask them?

It looks like some sort of relay board with three relays, bunch of diodes, fairly small value electrolytic caps (judging by their physical size) and what looks like 10 ohm resistors.  Unless there are some on the bottom side, I don't see any active components (like transistors or ICs).

No idea about its intended purpose other than that it is probably some sort of morel RR circuit.  :)

I don't know if Loy Spurlock personally is around any more but he closed up shop almost 10 years ago, I think.  Okay, 8 years ago https://www.therailwire.net/forum/index.php?topic=13047.0

The web site is still around but not much help and not recently updated. http://www.loystoys.com/

Yeah looks like the website has been converted to sell the webmaster's publications...  And the website design looks straight out of the 1990s...

Kinda sad that business ended.. they were developing some innovative products.

Loy retired 8 years ago. He spent some time on the Digitrax Yahoo group but stopped all of a sudden there too. He did announce he was stopping posts at the time. Not a peep out of him since but maybe if he is still a member of that group he could be reached by email? Long shot. Have no idea what that little board with the relays does. i did buy out his stock of loconet splitters when he announced retirement.

Yep, I just realized I never posted a followup.. Auto reverser, a friend of mine had all the catalogs and encyclopedias and all I could find were 4 catalog pages.. no instructions.. ~Ian
