Hey Lou, are yours corrugated? They appear to be sheathed in the same type of siding as RVs and camp trailers.

Not by design....  But when they print the layering lines give a hint of a corrugation....

Unless they orient it in a different position for printing. I've had really good luck with my corrugated RV and camper prints, especially with the new FXD.

Was your project done in FUD or FXD?

Did you simulate any of the patchwork visible on those closer views? They appear to have been "edited" a few times.

So who's going to be the first to make a model of the CRHS car?

Can Lou do a version with a couple holes in the roof where the AC should be?

Wouldn't those be skylights?

This is one of my earlier efforts printed in FUD with a liberal amount of Tamiya spray surface primer. The corrugated siding was extruded from a pattern I made in Illustrator.

If that is N scale then I'm very impressed!  Especially by the louvered vent on the lower side.

That IS N-scale, Pete. The '67 Ford is one of my resin kits from the ebay store. The slide-in camper is available in my shapeways shop in beta. The camper in the picture has solid windows and the new one in the shop has open windows, so you can put in glazing. You might want to hold up any purchase for a bit, I found a problem today when I got one of my other campers back from Shapeways. The vertical bars in the windows are a little too delicate, so when I gently brushed the sides to scrub off the loose stuff, I took out a couple of them. Easy fix on my end, just an annoying reality of trying to balance between near scale and robustness.

It's funny how a detailing job can look pretty good while you're working on it but when you take a close-up shot, it looks embarrassingly rough.

Optivisor with #7 lens plate is your friend.  I use it all the time.  :D

I also congratulate you on the realistic metallic green paint on the Ford. Very often models (especially very small like N scale) are painted with metallic paints where the metallic particles  are way out of scale (too big).  The model looks ok when viewed with naked eye but in closeup photos it looks like it was covered with glitter!  Your model has a nice metallic sheen without any visible metallic particles.  I find that  some nail polishes give this kind of metallic look without visible metallic particles.
