Any BM70M RPOs survive to CR MOW?

I would love to repaint my spare Kato BM70M into the Conrail MOW scheme, if it's prototypical.  I know cars from some of the other BM70 sub-classes survived to the end of Conrail in MOW service.  Would anyone know if any from the BM70M class survived?  Or, where I could find that information?

Just did.  You have some BM70 cars in there, specifically a BM70K and BM70N.  The -K has a different window arrangement, but the -N appears to be identical to the -M, including the trucks.  The gray schemes are too late for 1980, so I figured I would be looking at PRR/PC yellow.  But this BM70N from 1979 looks pretty cool, so I'll go with that.

Good way to blow a couple of hours!   Roger Durfee's stuff from early days of CR just makes me remember why I started railfanning.  I was just a weee bit too young to have seen all that variety but man-o-man what a great time/prototype to model.  Anything goes!  SP&S/BN RS3's and Bangor and Aroostock GP9's.. Bicentennial SDP45s, Reading Centurys....

It's funny you say that. The Durf still shoots all that crap with the same enthusiasm he did EL e9s on freight trains and Alco centuries out of Mingo Junction. He passed on some wise words of wisdom. Back then, they thought that stuff was crap too, but now we chimp out over it. Some day, as hard as it is to believe, there's gonna be people getting just as excited over Dash9s and Gevos.

PC 28156 was in service to Conrail in 1994 in Cresson, Pa.  Maybe it can be something to consider as well...

Looks like a BM70M or BM70N.  But I like the Pennsy patch-out paint job on PC 28157.  Much more interesting.

As a companion car the new MT diner could be painted in a similar scheme and numbered PRR 492197.  While the car did receive yellow paint with a silver roof you could do a foobie in the tuscan red, but given the car has managed to survive...

No, I would paint it in yellow/silver.  If all BM70M/N cars were yellow/black in 1980, I would have been okay with it.  But the fact that a Pennsy maroon BM70N survived to 1980 is too delicious to ignore.

The PRR yellow MOW diner is good to know.  It now gives me a reason to have one.
