Famous Edna G Tug Now Available in N Scale

The mighty 110' Edna G from Twin Harbors, MN, is now available from N Scale Ships. This exact model was developed with extensive measurements of the actual museum ship, which served from 1896 to 1981.

It is constructed with a cast resin hull, a precision cut styrene superstructure, custom brass railings and stairways derived from the actual ship, and many cast resin parts and details. The fire monitor is a 3D printed part especially designed for the Edna G.

The styrene superstructure allows for interior details and lighting, and doors that can be modeled opened or closed.

The kit is $99.00 plus shipping; a complete built-up is $299.00. Contact nscaleships.com or peterknolan@gmail.com for ordering details.

I don't have a suitable hull for the 95' Paterson. I'm not developing any new small ships until I sell some of small ships already introduced. The superstructure for the 86' small fireboat/tug could be modified in a jiffy, but small hulls just aren't selling.

I need more info on the ferry Tuxedo to track it down. I will be doing more ferries, but can't track this one down. Era? Service area? Railroad?

  Pete,
only 1 RR served Tuxedo after 1900,the Erie, then EL.
   well untill 1976 at least.
think NS and Metro North share those tracks now.
the EL had an intresting Naval fleet inherited from the ERIE and DL&W.

Pete,
I've been on the Edna G, and I gotta say, you did a great job on that model!

Thanks! I had a tough critic, who talked me into doing it and then kinda disappeared, so it took three finished prototypes to get t right. Usually, it take one or two prototypes of the hull and then the superstructure, none really finished. The sweep from bow to stern is deceptive on this boat: it looks very different in a straight-on profile compared to a slightly raised modeling view. I hope I get the five or so sales this critic promised!
