News from N-Scale Magazine

Hot off the wire is the news that N-Scale Magazine is returning to a 64
page format with the May/June issue.  This is exciting and brings with it a
new columnist in Thomas Knapp of Nn3 fame.  Thomas is going to appear in
each issue with a new article featuring Nn3 modeling including locomotives
and rolling stock along with all of the other aspects of modeling Narrow
Gauge in N.  All of your favorite article types will remain.  You will
continue to get the very best of N scale modeling anywhere.

That is an excellent news!

N-Scale Mag. seemed a bit anemic lately, but I do realize that you can only publish articles if people write them. I have some ideas for few articles, but I'm guilty of not having any of them ready yet.

I also smiled when I saw a post by user Pamela Clapp, while it was signed by ... Walt.

good news indeed.  published an article several years ago for you-all and have the material ready for another but but.....anyway we are fortunate to have 4 n-related magazines:  n scale, n scale railroading, n scale collector and the ntrak newsletter; but unfortunately they all seem to be on the same publishing schedule.  would be nice to receive an n-related magazine every month.  I subscribe to, and look forward, to all of them.  all good for the hobby.

Once I get my crap back in order I need to send something to NSM...  I've been doing lots of Pennsy but I owe them a Conrail shoot.  And now that I have the Nikon D5100, I'm embarrassed by the quality of the pictures I sent them last time.

Ntrakia,

many people have commented on this.

I would be glad to help you out.
Just contact Paul Graf at the N Scale Collector and have him send your magazine to me.
By the time I read and enjoy it, and then forward it on to you.......

You'll get it about one month later.

That way you 'll have something to look forward to on the off-month.

For me, having 6 issues per year is perfect!

I also have other magazines to read (some non model RR related).  I don't read them all at once, as soon as they arrive - I spread my reading so I have reading material pretty much for all the bathroom visits between the issues.  :D

Ah so your reading room also includes a porcelain throne.

Doesn't everybody?
I also find a paper copy of a magazine more convenient to handle than using an any electronic reader.

Yep. I'm a pretty digital guy, but I also much prefer paper in the "reading room".
