Check out Miniture Wunderland video.
HO engines pull a German electric locomotive over 35 feet. The video is in German but if you go to 7:20min you can see the successful world record. At the end of the video, they cut down the number of HO models to 85 engines and still are able to pull the big brother.

Hahaha I was thinking the same thing although it probably still wouldn't get me out of the dog house :D
