To HuskerN

Could you do one of those without the sleeper?  It would make a perfect cab-and-chassis for a logging truck.  Is it a conventional Kenworth?

I worked on this design over the weekend and finally finished it up last night.  Now, I'm just waiting for a couple prints.

Very, very nice.  Do this treatment to some 1960's trucks and you'll really get my attention.   ;)

Beautify lit scene, but to me the light posts look way too chunky. Their proportions look like something on a Lionel layout.  At first I wasn't going to post this, but since we are on TRW, I figured that it would be ok to post a critical opinion about it.

As the dude who did the module is not an A$$hat, I'll pass along the critical opinion to him  :D
(Lamppost thickness not quite as apparent in person than in photo)

For some reason Picassa Web Albums is not letting me upload photos, so those will have to wait.
But here's the video from the Great Train Expo show this weekend.

Fellow Free-moNster brought a Looxcie camera so finally there's some POV shots mixed in.

Thanks for looking.

MC, that video is most enjoyable and your shoo-fly and loop modules are, well, stunning. The minimalist nature of the shoo-fly module is perfect. One question though... are those guys ever going to get that bridge replacement job done?

One thing I take away from that video is a reaffirmation of my decision to not model anything current... that graffiti covered train is gross. Nothing before the year 2000 for me

I built my first three turnouts, at some point I'll upload photos of my abortive attempts in N scale and my HO one that works as advertised.

I contacted a person in the PPG Refinish Color Library to see what they had on file for codes and color chips for BN Green / Cascade Green and BN Yellow / FGE Yellow.  He could not find anything for the yellow, but did provide a PPG Refinish color number 44155 for BN Green.  He would not guarantee the accuracy and did not have chip either.  Hope this helps.

Yes, it does. Thank you muchly for that detective work.

I had a meeting with the curator today, showed her the Atlas model, and she laughed, suddenly understanding just how faded our waycar is. I'll pursue this green color code and nkalanaga's DuPont reference for the yellow, and see where it gets us. However, I'm certain that any repaint is not going to be done in the next year since the meeting was about project priorities, and truth be told the caboose was pretty far away once we started adding the hours for the projects ahead of it.
