Nate Goodman Layout Construction

:|         Some of you may remember way back when I announced that the next side of my layout was going to be reworked. I posted some photos of that side of the layout, the work was going to permanently join the N Quack (Track) modules that were incorporated in to the main and branch lines and to replace the temporary bridges on one N Track section with new ones. Finally we have progress photos. The first view an inspection train on the old bridges. Next photo Bob Gilmore working on one end with a wooden bridge temporarily removed for track work. Then photos of an ME bridge Bob built from a kit being installed. Two of the other three bridges will be replaced by two of the Truss Bridges in one of the photos and the last bridge will be a deck girder bridge. Photos taken by Bob Gilmore and myself. Nate Goodman (Nato).

:|             Yes Hariu Hatori who can be found in many years old layout posts in a spiffy red dress is now a Kato Spokes Model. In previous photos she was holding an old HO  Varney UP F-3 diesel. Nate Goodman (Nato).

The bridge looks like a big improvement over the old one.

:|          The Bridges will be a huge improvement over the four bridges viewed in the inspection train photo. When that N Track module was partially finished by the late Kelly Newton he just made temporary bridges using the Sub Roadbed. His plan was probably to replace them, but he sold the two piece modules to me and I' am with Bob's help getting around to finishing this side (scene) of the layout. Originally we thought about using all four of the truss bridges, but it would have looked too uniform so now the first two bridges will be truss bridges the third a deck girder type from a kit and the fourth you see installed a ME kit. Nate Goodman (Nato).
