I just came back from a ride we did from Montreal to Halifax and back on the "Ocean" named train . It's on VIA Rail in Canada .
We left Montreal with 4 F40ph-3 and 27 cars . Halfway they splitted the train , one loco and 7 cars ( all SS fluted cars ) going to Gaspé and us going to Halifax with 3 locos and 20 cars !!!
Here are some pictures of the Park Car ( dome / observation ) we rode in . On the way to Halifax we had Evangeline Park and back on Assiniboine Park , VIA is putting money right now to rebuilt the fleet . Riding in the dome was a pure joy and cannot imagine how nice it would be to be there crossing the Canadian Rockies !
