And you folks are all excited about this development in HO scale because...???

It's a cult... the GP40 thing... they have a secret password and a decoder ring...I hear their initiation involves some weird Canuck stuff...........wait a minute........
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

You're a CP guy, Pud... you can't understand  :D

And the GP40-2L came a year too late for you.

What about the US roads that bought them used, or does the pixie dust wear off after a while?

It sounded like a good idea at the time... too bad the caboose wasn't in on the plan.

Honestly, I am happy to see manufacturers putting money into tooling for these models regardless of scale.  Good karma is not scale dependent- I'm hoping some of the GP-40W love will jump to n scale and the pork chops as well.  A year ago, everything CN needed kitbashing or resin kits...

You know Pud, I shot one on a CP 923 about 15 years ago in the HLCX purple/blue scheme at Port Hope. A Huron Central one more recently. They do come over to the dark side now and again.

Brian, I would never, ever put Pud through that kind of torture. Heres a link to some dancing girls to ease Pud's suffering  ;)

Except in the lighting department. Really wish Athearn would switch to LEDs already....  :RUEffinKiddingMe:

x2. I've already had bulbs burn out in my Gp15. And it only has about 5 hours of run time...

If N scale had good SD40-2s, C30-7s, U30Cs, SD45s, SD40s, and SW10s; I'd be in N scale.

 :)

I would also like to see these released in N scale.  I would expect there to be a market for those in the CN and GO schemes and then, after their resale, regional schemes.
