Just so folks know which sleepers are involved here the R-series were 8 Section - 1 Drawing Room - 2 Compartment sleepers, some of which were rebuilt with sealed thermapane windows to better match lightweight equipment that was being acquired by the line.  Below are links to the original cars and modernized cars... I assume that he will just be doing the cars as originally built...

No; and that's the hold up; Geoff wants to do the modernized version (as many of us are begging for) and thus the windows are the hold up. He's been looking at etched metal inserts for the windows but this might not be the route to go.... rest assured; we will have "modernized" R series sleepers soon or my name isn't Sir William Cornelius Van Horne....................... :facepalm:
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!
