The snow shields are not that difficult to make from a brass sheet...but yeah, it would be a nice option to have from Bob.

When I made the decision to build my own, I thought the shields would be the toughest part - they turned out to be about the easiest!

I am following your method that you posted on TB .. what I am really more interested in is the ladders and the other hardware

Bob's Mast Signals Kits will pretty much make up whatever ladder situation you might want, very flexible.  Won't let you do the huge cantilever, though...soon as he reopens the store get a four pack and play with it a bit...
