Does anyone know why we lost the bars at the top

You, know, the ones you could click on saying "Show Recent unread topics" and "show replies to your posts?"  I don't see them in either my laptop or my  iPhone - but I confess there may be user error involved.  Thanks!

On my phone I use "Show unread posts since last visit" as my bookmark.
